Day Care Services

Magnolia Day School’s St. Petersburg facility accepts children into our educational programs from one year to five years of age. We also provide part time and full time Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) programs. Magnolia Day School tailors the curriculum to each age group as well. Magnolia Day School is not a babysitting service. Our team of teachers and staff find pride in helping students develop the skills necessary to succeed in school and life. Ensuring we meet all our goals, we’ve designed each and every school to be at the highest level of safety, security, teacher ability, and affordability.

Toddlers
Understanding that toddlers progress at their own rate, our caregivers work to promote developmental milestones at a quickened pace. Besides the curriculum, the focus for toddlers is to let them learn by playing and “doing.” At this age, they are very curious and tend to learn and develop by being inquisitive.

Two & Three Year-Olds
Two year-olds learn through repetition and through small and large group play settings. Not only is your child learning to do activities on their own at this age, but they learn social skills as well. Caregivers spend a good deal of time teaching the children to vocalize their needs and wants. At the age of three, children start communicating more intensely. Along with a Daffer Curriculum, three year-olds also start Character Education.

Four year-olds & VPK
The VPK program features a daily routine of themes that children learn about throughout the school year. Our program includes 540 instructional hours approved by the Early Learning Coalition, with an overriding goal to prepare students for Kindergarten.

Our buildings conform to the latest building codes and Pinellas County Licensing Board standards. Top of the line fire and smoke detection systems are constantly monitored, and all classrooms feature direct access to the outdoors to expedite any evacuations. A single door digital entry system provides the school with detailed information regarding who enters the building through the key cards given to all parents.

Developing Minds
Child care is so much more than simply selecting someone to watch your child while you are working. It’s about developing young minds to prepare them for the future. Schedule a tour to see how we take “daycare” to another level.
